MONTESSORI PRESCHOOL PROGRAM

At Treasure Seeds Child Care Centre, our Preschool Program provides a nurturing, Christ-centered Montessori learning environment where children develop independence, confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning. Through hands-on experiences and purposeful exploration, children are guided to grow:  academically, socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.

• Morning Class 8:45 AM – 11:45 AM
• Afternoon Class 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM

THE FIVE CORE AREAS OF THE MONTESSORI CURRICULUM

• PRACTICAL LIFE

Focuses on everyday tasks that build independence, concentration, coordination, and self-confidence. Children learn practical skills such as pouring, folding, tying, food preparation, cleaning, and caring for their environment.

• SENSORIAL

Designed to refine the senses through hands-on materials and purposeful exploration. Children sort, compare, and classify objects by size, shape, color, texture, sound, and weight, laying a strong foundation for mathematical and scientific thinking.

• MATHEMATICS

Introduces mathematical concepts using concrete materials that allow children to see and feel quantities before working with abstract numbers. Children explore counting, number relationships, operations, sequencing, and place value through engaging, hands-on activities.

• LANGUAGE

Develops communication, literacy, reading, and writing skills through a phonetic approach. Children use materials such as sandpaper letters and the moveable alphabet to connect sounds with symbols, build vocabulary, and develop a love for language.

• CULTURE & SCIENCES

Expands children’s understanding of the world through geography, history, science, botany, zoology, art, music, and cultural studies. Children explore diverse people, places, and living things while developing curiosity, respect, and appreciation for God’s creation.

• FAITH INTEGRATION

At Treasure Seeds Child Care Centre, Christian values are thoughtfully integrated throughout all five curriculum areas, encouraging children to grow in faith, kindness, responsibility, respect, and gratitude while developing the skills and confidence needed for lifelong learning.

OUR GOAL

Our goal is to nurture confident, compassionate, independent learners who are spiritually grounded, Kindergarten-ready, and equipped to become lifelong learners and future leaders.

Montessori Preschool Parent Fees (2026–2027)

2 Days/Week — $110/month (Regular Fee: $210)

3 Days/Week — $215/month (Regular Fee: $315)

4 Days/Week — $320/month (Regular Fee: $420)

5 Days/Week — $425/month (Regular Fee: $525)

Please Note: Parent fees shown above already include the Alberta Affordability Grant of $100/month for eligible families and can only be applied to one program at a time.
